The Celebration

The panel discussion, Women in Fashion, provided the finale for the 2017-2018 Bank of America Women’s Leadership Series (WLS) hosted by Asia Society Texas Center (ASTC). The series is ASTC’s flagship program showcasing distinguished female professionals. Moderated by Houston Chronicle fashion reporter, Joy Sewing, the sold-out evening featured designers Chloe Dao, Becky Hollands, Khanh Nguyen, and Naina Shah.

The Story

During the thought-provoking Q & A, Chloe Dao, owner of Rice Village Boutique; Becky Hollands, designer for the exclusive luxury-lifestyle brand Becky Hollands; Khanh Nguyen, creative director and designer behind the Nha Khanh label; and Naina Shah, who creates intricate embellishments for European and American fashion houses, recounted their fascinating experiences in the fashion industry and took questions from the audience. Afterward, at the post-event reception held at The Southmore, guests and panelists enjoyed music and delicacies from Cordúa Catering.

The Moments
