On May 12, 2017, the Duchess of York was in Houston to support one of the city’s most unique organizations by attending a truly distinctive event. The occasion, called High Tea with Sarah, Duchess of York, supported Virtuosi of Houston, a chamber orchestra made up entirely of youth from the ages of 11 to 18. The Duchess of York is known for her tireless support of charitable causes, especially those including children. The elegant affair, which was held at Tony’s, was hosted by Donae and Bella Cangelosi Chramosta and presented by Tony and Donna Vallone, Houston’s own royal restaurant couple.

Attendees were enthralled by the Duchess’ uplifting stories of her experiences with the children she helps through the charities she supports, her warm manner, and her willingness to join them for photographs. Everyone dressed for the occasion, and the women completed their colorful ensembles with embellished fascinators and Gabrielle Dror hats. Hostesses Donae and Bella Cangelosi Chramosta presented the Duchess with a commemorative Houston, Texas Hermes scarf from The Vintage Contessa as well as the Vintage Contessa and Princessa children’s book. The charming hostesses and the delightful event raised over $20,000 to benefit Virtuosi of Houston.

Guests: Zarine Boyce, Rob Chramosta, Victoria Christian, Deborah Duncan, George Foreman IV, Gina Li, Duyen Huynh, Rosemarie Johnson, Mandy Kao, and Maha Rasheed Khan.
