The 1st Annual Sweetwater Holly and Roses Holiday Luncheon event was held December 4th at Sweetwater Country Club. Co-Chairs and Sponsors for the event included Teresa Cox Reading with the Offices of William H. Reading, MD, Recovery, Psychiatric and TMS Services as well as Connie Kwan-Wong with CKW Luxe and CKW Collection and Foundation. Special Recognition included Versace, MCM, MABY, Dacapo’s Pastry Cafe’, Franklin A. Rose, MD, Utopia Plastic Surgery and Medspa, and Studio A Salon.

The Host Committee included Beth Cassidy-Garcia, Katya Dow and Rachel Novoa. "The event raised about 5K for the Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation" stated Lily Paxson-Salinas, Executive Director of the Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation.  The mission of the Foundation is to serve better those in need who cannot afford reconstructive surgery after undergoing certain types of treatments for cancer. The primary focus is for the breast cancer survivors, but they also grant college scholarships to those who have cancer or lost a parent to cancer, support hospital art programs for children with cancer, provide free breast cancer reconstruction surgery to the uninsured as well as, aiding with outreach, research, and grief consoling programs.
