The Celebration

Houston’s most generous families gathered at the Royal Sonesta Hotel for the second annual St. Jude Gold Luncheon. Brandi Smith of KHOU 11 served as the master of ceremonies for the inspiring event, which honored the families of Rob and Amy Pierce, Dr. Charles and Tammie Johnson, Keith and Shawntell McWilliams, and Yasmine Haddad.

The Story

In support of the celebration of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s lifesaving mission, Nha Khanh and Mysterious by NPN kicked off the event with an exclusive fashion show displaying their striking designs. Produced by Angel Woolsey, the show featured models from the Page Parkes Center of Modeling and Acting.

The Moments

St. Jude patient Preslie and her mom, Lara, shared their personal story of St. Jude’s remarkable support and work and encouraged everyone present to continue to be part of the hospital’s mission. Event chairs, Sneha Merchant and Brigitte Kalai, lead the luncheon to a record-breaking total for the kids of St. Jude.

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital leads the way in which the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.
