Dr. Mary Ann Reynolds-Wilkins is a former educator, a businesswoman, and a musician who is entrenched in her community in the areas of education, commerce, public health, and the arts.

After a successful career in academia, ultimately leading a school district of 50,000 students and serving as an adjunct professor for HBU and the University of Houston, Mary Ann entered the title industry. She joined Stewart Title Guaranty in 2000 and was recognized as one of its top producers across the United States. In 2023, Mary Ann retired from the company.

A native of Canyon, Texas, Mary Ann earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from West Texas A&M University, a Master of Music degree and a Doctorate in Public School Education degree from East Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education degree from the University of North Texas. She also completed post-graduate seminars at the University of Houston, Harvard University, and Columbia University.

An active participant in all aspects of the community, Mary Ann has served on the boards of directors for Jones Partners at Rice University, the Houston Chapter of CoreNet, the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce, the University of Houston Katherine McGovern College of the Arts, and was a member of the Real Estate Advisory Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership Association. As well, she is a past chairwoman of the board for the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce,  previously served on the boards of directors for the Houston Chapter of NAIOP, Preservation Houston, the American Red Cross, the Houston Symphony, the Houston Ballet, Leadership Houston, the American Heart Association, and served as the first chairman of the board for Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land. She has also participated in raising funds for the Houston Symphony and the Houston Grand Opera. Mary Ann currently serves on the board of directors of the Queensbury Theatre.

Mary Ann  wears a number of other hats as well. She is a national motivational speaker whose talks cover a broad range of topics, including Manager HeroesTeacher Heroes, and Selling Your Way to the Top. She is also an accomplished pianist and has recorded three piano CDs. And she served as the co-producer of the musical, Galveston, which played at the Hobby Center to sold out performances in 2011.

In recognition of her talent, expertise, and service, Mary Ann has been the recipient of numerous awards, including being named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Houston by Houston Woman Magazine in 2011; being honored as one of Houston’s Ten Women of Distinction at the Winter Ball, which was sponsored by ABC Channel 13, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Gittings, in 2012;  and being recognized as one of Houston's Ten Breakout Women by the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce in 2014. She has also received the CoreNet Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award and the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) Lifetime Achievement Award. As well, Mary Ann has been noted in a past publication of Notable Women of Texas.

Mary Ann is married to Dr. Robert B. Wilkins, a founder of Houston Eye Associates and co-author of Galveston, The Vegas Before Vegas! Together, they are active in the fine arts community and participate in fundraising events for MD Anderson Cancer Center.

It is for all the reasons mentioned above, and many more, that Dr. Mary Ann Reynolds-Wilkins has been named a Top 20 Inspiring Woman Impact Maker for 2024.
