Darryl King is the CEO of The Principle Partnering Group (PPG) LLC and PPG Global. He named the company Principle as a daily challenge to himself to be principled in all his business dealings and endeavors. PPG LLC is a management, consulting, and project staffing organization with an unsurpassed track record in helping companies and agencies of all sizes establish, manage, and maintain successful business-to-business collaborations. PPG Global is a project development firm with ongoing projects in Côte d’ Ivoire, West Africa and Grand Bahama, Bahamas. The company is also pursuing projects in Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso. Darryl’s mantra is, “We create TRANSPARENT, DEFENSIBLE, PROCESSES and provide capable, competent and qualified staff.”


In 2009, Darryl and key members of his staff created B2GCLOUD.COM using methods developed by PPG in 2003. The purpose was to provide “cloud-based contract compliance” for agencies and entities.


PPG LLC offers solutions, project management, and strategic and infrastructure support services across all business segments, including feasibility studies. As CEO, Darryl leads and directs the firm’s activities in all aspects of vision casting, program and project development, and optimum resource utilization. In addition, Darryl is the CEO of H.S. Direct; PPG People Source, Inc.; and Quality Hospitality Consulting Inc.


In 2013, Darryl began formulating new business strategies and formed PPG Global after going on a 17-day exploration of Africa on the invitation of a senior minister. Darryl opened the PPG Global office in Abidjan, Côte d’ Ivoire in 2015. His vision was to expand into international markets as a small business and take the principles that had made his endeavors successful into the national and international market and transform them in to a global footprint. PPG now has an impressive portfolio and is currently working on the pursuit of $3 billion worth of projects.


With over 35 years of experience in business strategies, community involvement, and business partnerships, Darryl has quietly and consistently worked to open doors of opportunity for numerous businesses and organizations throughout the Houston metropolitan area. As a result, he has been appointed to, and served on, numerous positions of local leadership and statewide board positions. Some of the boards he currently serves on or formerly served on include: Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston Board, Texas Southern University Jesse H. Jones School of Business Advisory Council, Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators Advisory Board, Tri-County Black Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board, Houston Black Heritage Music and Arts Festival Board, Texas Black Expo CEO Roundtable Chair Advisory Board, Houston Community College School of Business Advisory Board, The University of Houston-Downtown Business School Advisory Board, and the ALTUS Foundation Board.


Darryl was appointed commissioner for Keep Houston Beautiful (Houston Clean City Commission) by former Mayors Bob Lanier and Bill White. Former Governor George W. Bush and Governor Rick Perry appointed him to the Coastal Water Authority Board.


In addition, Darryl is a Senior Fellow in the American Leadership Forum Class XIV. More recently, he was selected to receive the Pinnacle Award of Excellence by the Greater Houston Black Chamber, the Small Business Advocate Award, and the Supplier Diversity Champion Award. Darryl is the recipient of the Houston Area Urban League Whitney Young Award, having served three terms as the league’s board chair and leading the drive to buy and renovate the old Federal Reserve Bank building, which became its home.
A sample of other of Darryl’s honors include: The Emerging Ten Award from the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council, the Community Hero Award from the Texas Association of Black School Educators, The Outstanding Service Award from the Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators, The Houston Area Urban League Outstanding Leadership Award, and the World Youth Foundation Community Hero Paving the Way Award was named in his honor. In 2015, he was inducted into The Hall of Fame by the Greater Houston Black Chamber.


An advocate for the economically disadvantaged, minority communities, and entrepreneurs, Darryl frequently addresses various small business groups and students. He is experienced in outreach to African American businesses, churches, communities, and neighborhood organizations throughout Houston.


Darryl is also known for his generosity. He and his companies have donated over $480,000 to the Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators, and other nonprofits, to fund scholarships in the community. Darryl and his associate Ken White replaced $80,000 worth of flood-damaged band equipment belonging to Yates High School with their own funds.


Darryl King is a man of principles. These are the ones that guide him: When you encounter a man, endeavor to leave him better than you found him or leave him alone; Life is a journey, both tragedy and triumph await you, lean into the wind, the force you feel behind you . . . pushing you . . . is your faith in God; I am blessed far greater.
