I wake up to see that my girl is already awake and getting prepped for the day. Once Piper is done getting dressed, she will take her first sip of water and take me downstairs to get me ready. She’ll get ice, fill me with more water, put on this white thing that looks like a skirt, and lastly she’ll put what looks similar to a bracelet on my handle. The next thing I know, she, dad and I are all in the car while she is playing songs from this girl named Taylor Swift.

(At School) We walk into school confident that today is going to be a good day. As we walk through the fifth-grade common door, we are greeted by our besties, Maddie and Cream Stanley, and then Piper reads and takes a few sips here and there.

When the clock hits 8:25, everyone starts running over to the cubbies. We get into our cubby, and I am in my cozy position that I am always in next to one of my very loud friends named Backpack. Inside the cubby, my friends names are: Backpack, who is very loud; Books, who happen to be very wise; Pencil Bags, who are strong yet sweet; and lots of Notebooks, who are filled with ideas. Most of the day, nothing really happens, but we come and go a lot except for when she is at P.E, lunch, and recess.

It’s lunchtime, and we are all snug in one little cubby, and Backpack is in a very groovy mood today, which means that he likes to dance and is taking up so much room that my ice is shaking up inside, and I try to scoot over when BAAM! I have fallen on my left side and I am SPILLING and crying really hard. Right then, Backpack realizes that he has hit me, and everyone is staring at me, and I am crying even more! Just when I think nothing can get worse, a miracle of friendship happens. Everybody starts huddling towards me and tries to help me up.

(Several minutes later) I am all better now thanks to all of my friends. We cleaned up the small spill and got me up again. It’s wonderful friends like these that can really lift up a Stanley. Now we know that Backpack and I should probably not be put next to each other anymore. By the way, that was just another ordinary day in the life of this Stanley.
