The Celebration

Neiman Marcus Houston – Galleria welcomed over 65 Houston style setters dressed in their finest fall couture for the annual Houston Symphony League Celebrate in Style! Luncheon. Saula Centa Valente chaired the fashionable event benefiting Houston Symphony League projects.

The Story

Guests were party to an exclusive Neiman Marcus fashion show organized by Neiman Marcus P. R. Manager, Stacey Swift, who put together some of the season’s chicest looks from Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Tom Ford, Chanel, Gucci, Emilio Pucci, and Alexander McQueen as well as other trendy designers. While enjoying the beautiful parade of clothes, attendees also enjoyed lunch from Mariposa, the store’s in-house restaurant, which began with monkey bread and chicken broth and was followed by a fall salad with roasted chicken breast. A decadent flourless chocolate torte was the perfect sweet compliment to the meal.

The Moments

Houston Symphony musicians Judy Dines on flute, Anne Leek on oboe, Sasha Potiomkin on clarinet, and Rian Craypo on bassoon entertained guests with a vibrant piece by Jean Françaix. As they left, guests received swag bags filled with gifts from Neiman Marcus, Blo Blow Dry Bar, and My Gym Uptown Houston.

Guests: Maureen Higdon, Betty Tutor, Janet F. Clark, Donna Chapman, Kathy Goossen, Jo Dee Wright, Cheryl Byington; Darlene Clark, Rania Edlebi, Jan Rhodes, Susan Hansen, Marla Hurley, and Connie Kwan-Wong.
