Narmin Kermally and Naushad Kermally are civic-minded enthusiastic members of the Sugar Land Community, proud parents, and supporters of health, education, and sports.

Narmin Kermally is a registered nurse by profession and the CEO of Cloud9Travels and Associates. What began as a side gig for her has turned into a 12-year and counting full-service travel agency specializing in cruises, destination weddings, all-inclusive resort bookings, and luxury travel. Narmin has been recognized within the Circle of Excellence for the past two years within a franchise network of over 2000 franchise owners. She was ranked in the top 25 for 2022 and 2023 based on her sales volume and has now added associates under her wing as well. Narmin currently serves on the board of directors of Child Advocates of Fort Bend.

The motto Narmin lives by is, “Go with the flow.” It was instilled in her by a 9-year-old boy battling cancer.

Naushad Kermally is in his second term as a District 2 Council Member for The City of Sugar Land and Mayor Pro Tem for the period ending May 2024. Naushad began his career as a trauma and critical care nurse at Ben Taub Hospital. In 1997, he took his expertise to Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. After a career in the medical field, he transitioned careers and joined a mobile technology startup company in 1999. That company has since grown from its local roots to being a national leader in the wireless industry. Naushad retired from the company in 2022 and started doing real estate work for another privately held company.

Naushad was elected in June of 2019 as a District City Council Member to serve his community, which he loves. Prior to being elected, Naushad served on numerous Boards and volunteer roles within the Ismaili Muslim Community, Fort Bend County, and the City of Sugar Land. A small example of his service to the community includes: chairman of the Aga Khan Foundation USA for South West USA, chairman of the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board, chairman of Nizari Progressive Credit Union, board member for Child Advocates of Fort Bend, member of the Ethics Board for the City of Sugar Land, and member of the Zoning Board of Adjustments for Sugar Land. He also took a continuous learning expedition to help him get to his current City Council role by doing such courses as Sugar Land 101, the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, and Sugar Land Police Academy, to name only a few.

From the moment Narmin and Naushad moved to New Territory, which is now part of Sugar Land, they were proud of their community, its neighborhoods, schools, and quality of life. Eventually, they moved to Telfair, a neighborhood in the City of Sugar Land, to establish residence in the city and make a run at the City Council seat.

Naushad and Narmin are the proud parents of three children, all of whom were born in Sugar Land and benefited from the education they received from Fort Bend ISD. Like their parents, they are highly engaged in the community. Adam and Arianna were part of the Sugar Land Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council and Aaron took part in the Police Academy. Arianna played varsity basketball and softball at Clements High School. Adam has graduated from Penn State University and is working on his master’s degree from the University of Texas. Arianna is finishing her Master of Education. Aaron is a senior at SMU Cox School of Business and will graduate in May 2024 with a degree in business. All three children are civic minded, very supportive of their parents' endeavors, and give back to the community.  The couple also has two dogs, Lassi and Mocha, who are important members of the family.

Together, Narmin and Naushad love to travel around the globe to gain more knowledge for Narmin’s travel business. Narmin can always be found at Naushad’s side accompanying him to many functions and events in and around the city, county, and state.

It is for all the reasons mentioned above, and many more, that Narmin Kermally and Naushad Kermally have been named a Top 20 Power Couple Impact Maker for 2024.
