One Paw at a Time: Houston’s Furriest “Superheroes Unleashed” at Wags and Whiskers Annual Luncheon and Pet Fashion Show

Houston’s most devoted animal lovers will suit up and summon their sidekicks as the city’s furriest heroes come together for an afternoon of style, sparkle, and heartwarming fun. From strutting pets to tail-wagging charm and scene-stealing cuteness, this spectacular pet fashion show proves that true heroism begins with protecting every paw, purr, and wag through IM Houston’s Animeals program.

The 13th Annual Wags and Whiskers Luncheon and Pet Fashion Show will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Ballroom at Bayou Place. Proceeds benefit IM Houston’s Animeals program, which supplies pet food and essential items to more than 1,000 pets belonging to homebound seniors in IM’s Meals on Wheels program—ensuring that no senior or beloved companion is left behind.

This year’s “Superheroes Unleashed!” celebration will feature a celebrity pet fashion show produced by Todd Ramos, an exciting silent auction, a delicious luncheon, and plenty of heroic surprises throughout the afternoon. The event will be led by Luncheon Chairs Chaun and Derrick Vaughn, guiding guests through an unforgettable experience.

Attendees and their four-legged heroes will also enjoy a heartfelt program emceed by podcast host Amanda Sapp, honoring Elizabeth “Chrissy” Tate, a dedicated Animeals volunteer and longtime supporter who delivers pet food every month.
