Heidi Helton Rockecharlie is a masterful fundraiser who champions others from behind the scenes creating a centerstage for their accomplishments in community service.


Heidi is a managing director of Rockecharlie & Co., a corporate financial advisory practice established in 1979. She is also a member of the senior management team for Seremedi, Inc., a digital healthcare company that developed CareScriptions®, a mobile integrated patient-care platform remotely connecting patients and healthcare teams to improve care, save time, reduce costs, and eliminate unnecessary hospital readmissions. 


Heidi graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in finance. She also has a Certificate of Corporate Entrepreneurship from The Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship. A devotee of giving back, Heidi also holds Certificates of Charitable Fundraising from Rice University and the Aspen School of Fundraising. 


Heidi’s career began in the hotel industry where she held positions as catering director for various 4-star hotels, including the Warwick Post Oak in Houston. In this capacity, using her training in French cooking from French chefs trained at Ecole de Cuisine de l’Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France, Heidi planned artisan menus and guided clients in wine- and spirit-pairing selections. 


Throughout her adult life, Heidi has held fundraising positions as director, consultant, and/or volunteer for various worthy organizations, including Houston Hospice, Kelsey Research Foundation, St. Jude Foundation, Healthcare for the Homeless, Houston Symphony, The Regis School of the Sacred Heart, and several others.


Heidi has served several organizations as a volunteer to help others achieve their goals. A small sample of the positions she has held includes: cochair of the El Centro de Corazon Annual Luncheon; cochair of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Soiree; auction cochair of the Crohn’s & Colitis Winter Ball; cochair of the Houston Symphony League Fall Luncheon featuring Joanne King Herring;  member, Board of Directors – Governance Committee chair for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation; member, Advocacy Committee cochair for the Houston Symphony League; member, Board of Trustees, Houston Symphony Orchestra; Wine Society Chair for the Houston Symphony League; member, International and Wine Events Committees for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo; member, Sponsor Committee for Susan G. Komen, Race for the Cure©; member, Board of Directors for The Women’s Guild of St. Michael’s Catholic Church; auction chair for the K9s 4Cops Unleashed Gala; member, Consular Ball committee for the Houston Junior Chamber of Commerce; member, committee chair, National Philanthropy Day Luncheon for the Association of Fundraising Professionals; and chair for three galas benefiting the Houston Audubon Society: For the Birds Gala, Shades of Ivory Gala, and Songs Across the Lake Gala with Don Henley of the Eagles.


Heidi’s most recent award for her tireless service to the Houston community is having been named a 2022 Woman of Distinction at the Winter Ball for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.


Originally from Cincinatti, Ohio, Heidi has made Houston her home. Her interests include traveling, reading, cooking, entertaining friends and family, fashion designing, and paying all good things forward. Heidi credits many who have helped her achieve success in various pursuits throughout her career, and she is passionate about giving back. 


It is for all the reasons mentioned above, and many more, that Heidi Helton Rockecharlie has been named a Top 20 Inspiring Woman Impact Maker for 2023.
